A Marathon vagy Cross Country mountain bike-ok merevfarú, vagy rövidebb (80-100mm-es) rugóúttal rendelkező versenyre szánt kerékpárok. A sportos geometriának, könnyű súlynak és csúcs technológiának köszönhetően ezek a bringák szinte gurulnak felfelé is.
